About

The department of Computer Science & Engineering. offers high quality graduate and post graduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering to prepare students for professional career or higher studies. The department promotes excellence in teaching, research, collaborative activities and positive contributions to society. In summary mission of the department can be stated as: To develop competent professionals who are proficient in the design, analysis and implementation of computational/computer systems. To impart quality and value based education and contribute towards the advancement of computing, science and technology to raise satisfaction level of all stakeholders.

Our endeavor is to apply new developments in the field of computational hardware and software technologies to provide all possible support to promote research & development activities.

The first batch of Computer Sc. & Engg. Dept passed out in the year of 2004 absorbed in Fortune 500 corporates such as TCS, L & T Infotech, CTS, Tech Mahindra, Del soft, Infosys, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, i-Flex etc. The department is engaged in research work and projects in the fields of Image , Video & Quantam Steganography, Multi Objective Genetic Algorithim, Multi Agent Systems based Health care , Medical Diagnosis and support systems for Physically Challenged, Digital Geometry , Evolutionary Computing ,Data Mining using MOGA.

Vision

To create an Institution for higher technical Education, dedicated to the cause of developing professional with high sense of ethical values and commitment to the society, where student shall realize their potentials and learn to be future torch bearers of evolving Technologies , through inculcation of proper attitude, appropriation of tradition and heritage and fostering of originality so as to be capable of functioning without being influenced by malice of caste, creed, political and religious dogmas.

Mission

  • To meet the demand of quality technically skilled human resource at national and international level.
  • To offer high quality education in the field of Computing Science and Technology and offer an environment conductive to research for both students and faculty.
  • To strengthen R&D activity in collaboration with Industries, Premier Institutions and Research Labs.
  • To develop strong industry-institute linkages.
  • To Develop in each student mastery of rudiments, versatility of mind, enthusiasm for learning, intellectual discipline and self-confidence which provide the best ground for continuing professional achievement.

Objectives

Computer science is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems. Computer Engineers invent algorithmic processes that create, describe, and transform information and formulate suitable abstractions to model complex systems. Computer science has many sub-fields; some, such as computational complexity theory, study the properties of computational problems, while others, such as computer graphics, emphasize the computation of specific results.

Still others focus on the challenges in implementing computations. For example, programming language theory studies approaches to describe computations, while computer programming applies specific programming languages to solve specific computational problems, and human-computer interaction focuses on the challenges in making computers and computations useful, usable, and universally accessible to humans.
